Choose the Right Contact Route for a Zillow Listing

Before adding or changing a phone number on a Zillow listing, establish who controls that listing and where its information comes from. A homeowner’s listing, a professional profile and a listing supplied through another source may need different editing routes.

Identify the listing arrangement

Check whether you manage the listing directly or work through an authorised agent or another source. Keep the property and account details available. Do not create a duplicate listing merely to replace a contact number.

Use the authorised editing route

Follow the current help instructions for the relevant listing type. Zillow’s help for For Sale by Owner edits explains that submitted changes are reviewed before publication. An edit being submitted is not the same as the public listing already being updated.

Check the visible contact route

Review the published page after the change is processed. Confirm that enquiries reach the intended authorised person. Keep personal and business contact choices deliberate, since a public number may receive unrelated or suspicious calls.

Keep the request with its evidence

If a change does not appear, retain the listing reference and edit confirmation for the official support route. Latest Mailing Database does not control Zillow listings. Purchasing real-estate contact data does not authorise editing another person’s listing or provide access to their account.
