Plan Five Email Messages as a Coherent Sequence
A sequence should continue a chosen conversation rather than repeat the same sales line. The five stages below describe possible purposes, not a mandatory number of messages or a promise that repeated exposure produces a sale.
1. Confirm the expectation
Explain the programme and deliver anything promised at signup. Use the appropriate status and confirmation workflow before adding marketing messages. The first contact should help the recipient recognise the sender.
2. Answer the first useful question
Choose one practical issue connected to the subscription. Give the answer directly and link maintained detail where it helps. Avoid withholding essential information merely to create another click.
3. Add evidence or a deeper explanation
Show a supported process, documented feature or genuine example. Keep hypothetical illustrations distinct from actual customer results. The message should build understanding rather than inflate the claim.
4. Present a relevant next step
Explain an offer that fits the relationship and make important conditions clear. A meeting or purchase request should have enough context to assess without an unexplained commitment.
5. Review the continuing need
Offer the appropriate continuing route and honour changed preferences. Define exits for completed tasks and ineligible records. Test the complete sequence so later messages do not contradict what a recipient has already done.
