Social Ads: Choose the Audience, Creative and Destination
Social ads place paid messages within a platform experience. The format, audience controls and available placements change, so use current platform documentation during setup. The underlying planning task stays the same: connect a relevant offer to a suitable next step.
Define who the offer serves
Describe the need and the customer characteristics that matter to the product. Check which targeting controls are available and allowed for the campaign category. Do not assume the interface can identify someone’s current buying intent simply because a related interest appears.
Build creative for the placement
Keep the message understandable at the size and duration in which it appears. Check captions, crops and the visibility of important conditions. A creative version designed for one placement should be reviewed before automatically reusing it elsewhere.
Test the destination and response
Match the landing page to the ad and complete its action in the platform’s browser. Check that enquiries arrive with useful campaign context and reach a responder. A platform lead form also needs a tested handoff, clear information and appropriate handling of contact preferences.
Judge suitable outcomes
Compare spend, visits and qualified results using a consistent period. Inspect refunds, invalid enquiries and duplicate attribution when relevant. Reactions can inform creative development, but they do not replace evidence that the campaign supported its intended business outcome.
