Launch a WordPress Blog with a Maintainable Publishing Process
A WordPress blog needs a working publication process as well as an installation. Plan who writes, checks and maintains the content before expanding the schedule. Begin with a small set of articles that serve a clear audience.
Define the publication structure
Choose topics around reader needs and use categories that help navigation. Keep each article’s purpose distinct. Avoid creating numerous empty categories or near-identical posts simply to make the site look larger at launch.
Test the templates with real material
Check a long title, headings, images, lists and related links on a phone and desktop. Review archive and search pages as well as single posts. Make sure the public output shows the intended content, author and publication information.
Set an editorial workflow
Require an accurate brief, supporting sources and a review of important claims. Record who approves the article and handles corrections. Do not attribute invented experience or credentials to an author to make a page appear more authoritative.
Plan maintenance and recovery
Assign updates, backups and technical support. Check important journeys after changes and retain a recovery route. Review older material for expired offers and broken destinations so the publication stays useful without needing a constant stream of new articles.
