The Blog was going to be through an International SEO strategy.

organic search blog marketing and web

One of the objectives that I had set for this year was to overcome the 1000 keywords positioned in the Top 20 of Google, and I had the luck to get it before the end of the year. Now the next goal is to get over 2,000 keywords! ?

But that’s in Spain and now what I’m looking for is to expand the organic visibility of my Blog in other countries, and I’m going to start in countries like Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.

How to increase your web traffic through an International SEO Strategy

1.- Conduct an international keyword study
Whenever we carry out a keyword study, we usually include it in our country of origin, but this time we are going to do a double analysis, so that we can find the search words that are common with the different countries.

Example 1: The keyword “get followers on twitter” works very well in Google Spain but does not work well in other countries.

Example 2: The keyword “disadvantages of social networks” works very well in many countries. For example, Google Mexico works much better than Google Spain.

The objective in this double filter is to detect the keywords with which we can attract visitors from different countries.

2.- We select from 2 to 3 countries where we want to position ourselves
Within your SEO International strategy you have to define the number of countries where you would like to position yourself. I recommend that you go little by little and do not try to cover a lot in this selection.

Start the first year by positioning yourself in a single country and the second year you can increase your presence to other countries, in my case I am doing it little by little in Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.

3.- Identify Blog very relevant in our thematic in the different countries
If you want to capture traffic in other countries you need relevant websites from that country to mention and link contents of your Blog, and if we specify it more, we could say that they link these contents that we want to position in other search engines.

The Google search engine knows very well how to discriminate the degree of authority in each country, since much of this relevance is given by the quality links of other domains, which most likely are mostly concentrated in a single country.

Analyze the health and traffic of these Blogs before publishing a post as a guest or before negotiating a link. For this you can recommend that you use tools such as SEMrush, ahrefs and Similar Web.

4.- Plan a calendar of publications in other relevant blogs in that country
As in any SEO strategy, the planning of publications is very important, and we must establish a clear scheduling of them, taking into account both the publications in our Blog and the publications in other Blogs.

If you have enough time I would recommend that you post 2 posts a week on your blog and one post a week outside of your blog. In case you do not have so much time, what you can do is post a post a week on your blog and post a post every 2 weeks on an external blog.

Summarizing;

Option 1: 2 post a week on your blog and one post a week outside of your blog.

Option 2: One post a week on your blog and one post every 2 weeks outside your blog.

5.- Analyze the positions in the different countries
Something that can not be missing in an SEO Strategy is to fully monitor our organic visibility in the search engines, as well as their future evolution.

We can use payment tools like SEMrush or Sistrix, or a highly recommended free tool called Rankerizer.
